Pros

1. Flexible working hours: starting at 10 a.m. and leaving promptly at 6 p.m. is fine.

2. Colleagues are all willing to share their own experiences, and they are all designers, so everyone has many topics in common.

3. Comfortable company environment.

4.正版軟體 (sketch) is provided.

Cons

1. The boss is very emotional and decides how to treat employees based on their own mood and personal preferences toward employees. They also show their displeasure to everyone, which can easily affect employees’ emotions.

2. During the interview, they said the company’s design approach was an entirely new collaborative model, but it is actually a design agency that takes on client projects. Before the weekly meetings, employees responsible for projects would work overtime until very late. The boss would be extremely displeased, and many requirements were only raised the day before. There was no effective workflow. For a single page, you would need to produce many design options for the boss to choose from, and most screens had no UX framework or wireframe, as if the boss were the client.

3. During the interview, they do not discuss a specific salary or benefits. They first tell employees to work for a month so that both sides can observe each other. Then, within two weeks, they call the employee into a meeting room and say that they are not suitable for the position, and that they can leave after working that day.

4. The boss also serves as the PM, so the company has no PM. Although it is a client-project design agency, there was no UX designer when I worked there either, so designers had to figure things out themselves.

5. The boss secretly looks at employees’ Facebook messages. It is very frightening.

6. After reading the messages, the boss gets angry and may therefore try to fire you.
