The atmosphere during the interview was great. The boss was very kind and seemed like the type who was willing to listen to employees’ ideas. In fact, the work itself was very interesting and quite challenging, which gave me a sense of accomplishment after completing it.
The boss said they were very willing to accept employees’ ideas, but in practice, they repeatedly rejected more creative suggestions and were only willing to use methods they were accustomed to. Overtime was not required, but even when I finished my work and left on time, I would be “checked in on,” which felt uncomfortable. Moreover, the boss would speak with colleagues separately and criticize other colleagues in private, making people feel disrespected.
