Pros

The front desk staff and HR explained everything very clearly.

The department manager who conducted the second interview was also quite friendly.

Cons

I applied through 104 for a foreign sales position. This company is a manufacturer, and the benefits are fairly good. However, after the first interview, I was told that there might be a second interview. About three or four days later, HR contacted me to say that the salary had been adjusted and asked me to consider it before contacting her again. (During the interview, we had originally agreed on a minimum salary of NT$30,000, and the notification also stated that the probationary salary would be NT$30,000.) At the time, I was still waiting for the results of other interviews (I did not get the job I wanted most). After contacting HR again and confirming that I could accept NT$30,000, I asked her to help confirm whether there would be a second interview or whether I should start work directly. The next notification I received stated that the salary had become NT$28,000. I told HR that the department manager and I had discussed the salary during the interview, and that I had accepted the offer only because both the department manager and the initial notification had agreed on NT$30,000. If the salary was now being adjusted because the manager thought I lacked relevant experience with bicycle parts, then I might reconsider, so I asked her to confirm again. However, HR notified me the next day that the probationary salary was still NT$28,000. Personally, I feel that the salary had been discussed clearly during the interview. I had initially asked for NT$32,000, and I had also asked the department manager about the salary the company expected to offer. The department manager said that, because there was a lot of work involved in foreign sales, the salary would be around that level. I also clearly stated that NT$30,000 was the minimum salary I could accept. Changing the offer afterward felt like going back on their word and made the company seem unreliable.
