Pros

You can learn a lot

Cons

1. The air conditioning temperature must not be set below 27°C.

2. You will be fined if you fail to turn off the air conditioning.

3. Carrying a mobile phone will result in a warning. The employee handbook states that carrying a phone means you will not be paid for that day. A colleague was once searched.

4. After working for six months, the year-end bonus is less than 5,000. Colleagues who have worked for more than a year only receive a little over 8,000.

5. When sales reach 1 million and there are fewer than 10 employees, each person receives only around 1,000 (?

Also, if the target is reached in May, the bonus is not paid until July. If you have already left the company, you’re out of luck.

6. When you drink beverages, the owner’s wife makes sarcastic remarks.

7. The gifts at the year-end banquet are all out-of-season outlet products that young people can’t use! Some even show signs of mold, and some have cracked leather…

8. There are no employee purchase discounts, and you have to wash your own kitchen uniform.

9. In addition to video surveillance, the cameras also record audio. The owner’s wife listens in!

10. Working on the Dragon Boat Festival does not come with double pay. For the three major holidays, you only receive one day’s pay (in principle, you should receive three times the daily wage, but in practice you only receive one day’s pay).

11. The head chef (the owner) teaches things differently every time, but likes to say that employees arbitrarily change the methods. He is constantly changing his mind.

12. It is apparently fine for back-of-house staff to work overtime until 10 p.m. without eating.

As soon as front-of-house staff work overtime, the owner’s wife starts nagging!

13. Everyone is required to attend the store manager’s wedding, and you have to use your own leave.

14. The owner is very good at talking, but his actual technical skills are just average—not particularly impressive…

15. Before resigning, I worked through the 13th of the month. At that time, there were only 7 days off per month. The owner’s wife calculated the leave as: 13/31*7 = 2.94.

She said that if I took 3 days off, 0.06 days’ worth of pay would be deducted.

If I did not take leave, I would be paid for an additional 0.94 days…
