Pros

There are direct shuttle buses, so transportation is fairly convenient.

Cons

Pros

The workplace is in Neihu. There are direct shuttle buses, so it is fairly convenient.

Cons

1. Policies and procedures

a. It is run according to personal whims; the policies are all for show and have never actually been implemented. (Family-owned business)

b. You will be given a hard time regardless of whether you take personal leave or sick leave.

c. They are unwilling to train employees (even when the courses are free), yet expect immediate contributions.

d. The office is luxurious, but the equipment is extremely poor. The computers are 10 years old and will not be replaced until they are so broken that they cannot even start.

e. Even requests for stationery may be rejected; you practically have to provide your own.

2. Salary

a. N-5,6k, with no bonuses for the three major holidays. Even if the company makes a large profit, the year-end bonus is at most one month’s salary.

(Last year the company made over 100 million, but the year-end banquet was held at an inexpensive vegetarian restaurant, and the grand prize in the raffle was NT$3,000—with only one winner!)

b. Taking leave results in a NT$1,000 perfect-attendance deduction.

c. The standard probationary period is three months, with the salary typically N-8,9k. They usually promise to raise it to the agreed salary after the probationary period.

However, they will deliberately “forget,” and the longest case I witnessed was someone not receiving the promised salary until six months after passing probation.

d. The position is treated as a responsibility-based role, with no overtime pay or compensatory leave.

3. Coworkers

a. There are two factions. People aged 20–35 (usually unmarried) generally do not stay for even a year; turnover is extremely high. Those who remain are people with families or retirees who have returned to work. (Eight coworkers left within one year of my employment... The entire office, including the boss and the boss’s spouse, had only 15 people.)

b. Ability is not considered; only the length of overtime matters. The longer you work overtime, the more the boss likes you.

c. Coworkers compete for favor and will stab one another in the back.

4. Treatment of employees

a. They throw you away once they have used you. Once a project ends, they start pressuring engineers to leave; once they win a client, they pressure sales staff to leave.

b. No Wi-Fi, and sometimes no air conditioning.

Please, everyone, stop applying here... This company breaks so many laws..................
