Pros

No advantages

Cons

1. The interview was at 8:30 a.m., with a series of tests. I first interviewed with a female team leader, followed by a male department manager. It was a lengthy interview that did not end until after noon. The department manager said that successful candidates would be notified within seven days.

2. At 3 p.m. the next day, the department manager called and asked me to go to the company immediately for a second interview. Since I did not live in the Guanyin District, I had to drive a long way there in a hurry. I think the second interview was with an assistant manager. Like a speech contest, it tested my speaking skills and reactions. Again, they said that successful candidates would be notified within seven days. I had already explained that, since I did not live in the Guanyin District, I would need two weeks to find a place and move. At the time, they agreed that I could start work two weeks after being hired.

3. On the seventh day after the second interview, the department manager called to tell me that I had been hired and that I had to report to work within two weeks. Because of the company's procedures, the written offer letter had to go through the entire process before HR could send it to me. Because time was tight, I had no choice but to urgently find a place and move. A week later, the department manager called to say that the hiring notice would not finish going through the process in time, and sent me the medical examination requirements first so that I could start work sooner. The department manager also knew that I had already moved and told me to patiently wait for the hiring notice. I kept waiting but never received it. Over the course of a month, we exchanged many phone calls, and I was repeatedly told to wait patiently and that they would urge the process along. After a month had passed, the department manager suddenly avoided meeting me. Only after I called the team leader was I told that the company had canceled the position. I was completely stunned. The managers at every level kept saying that the company had systems and scale, but I never expected it to be so "untrustworthy" and go back on its word, wasting the job seeker's time and money. It was an extremely disappointing company.
