Colleagues get along well with one another.
1. The boss is very good at shirking responsibility. For example, even if they have signed a report, they will not acknowledge it and will instead blame you for making a mistake.
2. They work very slowly and procrastinate, always waiting until the last minute to deal with things.
3. When you raise a reasonable objection, they may smile on the surface, but they have actually made a note of it mentally. Later, there are obvious differences in treatment and attitude, whether regarding raises or interactions with colleagues who are "favored."
4. They continually take on new clients without increasing staff, exploiting employees to the fullest and still refusing to stop.
5. It is a family business, and they are Christian, so hymns are played continuously during work.
6. At this firm, business tax filings are not reviewed by a supervisor. You are expected to file them carefully yourself. If you make an incorrect filing and incur a fine, the company will pay only part of it, while you must bear the rest yourself.
7. The company environment is dirty and disorderly; rats, spiders, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and so on are all present.
8. The annual bonus, equivalent to one month’s salary, is paid in two installments: half a month’s bonus is paid around Lunar New Year, and the remaining half is paid only after you help complete the January–June closing period, because they are afraid employees will leave after the New Year holiday.
9. The compensation mentioned during the interview is only for reference, unless you are someone they favor. For example, they say salaries increase by 2,000–3,000 every year, but you should be delighted if you get 1,000. Some colleagues have also been given various reasons to "prove" that their abilities are insufficient and that they cannot receive a raise.
Conclusion: If you happen to interview for and enter this pitfall, carefully observe whether it is the environment you want and whether you are confident you can endure their exploitation.
