There are really far too many drawbacks.
Interviewing at this company was the most unpleasant interview experience I have ever had. Hardly anyone applies to this company through the job bank, so they proactively reach out to people for interviews. When I went to the interview, they specifically instructed me that I could only write dates according to the Minguo calendar on my résumé, not the Gregorian calendar.
Before the manager’s interview, the assistant specifically told me not to move the chair, or I would be scolded. During the interview, I encountered someone who thought she was Empress Wu Zetian—her own version of Empress Wu Zetian.
The entire interview process was extremely disrespectful to the interviewee, and felt somewhat like being interrogated while a criminal statement was recorded. The sentence that left the deepest impression on me was: “Your desired salary should be written as ‘according to company policy.’” Empress Wu said that she had started at 22K and then climbed to the position of Emperor Wu through her own ability. At the time, I thought: Please... I was forcibly recruited by you to come to this interview, okay?
My impressions after the interview:
1. The entire company seems to operate on the principle of doing exactly as told, without being allowed to have one’s own ideas.
2. The office partitions are very high—about as high as a standing person—which makes it feel as though they are trying to prevent employees from chatting with one another. Going in there would probably feel almost like being in prison.
2. Everyone seemed very afraid of the person who conducted the interview, Empress Wu Zetian. It felt like militarized management.
3. As for this company’s glorious achievements, everyone can find relevant information online. I really do not recommend working at this company, nor do I recommend even going for an interview. All I can say is that it would be a waste of time.
