台灣富士電機股份有限公司
Pros

Many Japanese employees are dispatched here, so Japanese is useful. There are many opportunities for the business units to eat and drink together, go to Wutai for outings, and play golf.

Cons

The managers above are all dispatched here and return after a few years, so they are unfamiliar with the situation in the Taiwan market. The positions they open generally require outside experience, but they prefer to hire newcomers. The work is not very technical and mainly involves translating for dispatched engineers, so the starting salaries are not high. If you are an engineer in the same industry, negotiate your salary carefully. When doing technical translation, be careful not to be blacklisted because of poor translations. The turnover rate for technical positions is high, and the current technical personnel in Taiwan are close to becoming a lost generation, so the Japanese staff may have to train them from scratch. If you are sent to Japan for training, pay attention to whether you are required to sign a contract; some people would rather pay compensation than stay. Sometimes, when you join a large company where the professional and language skills required are disconnected from the salaries in Taiwan's industry, it is easier to come to terms with it if you adopt the mindset of volunteering at a nursing home.
