I have a PhD from one of Taiwan’s top four universities, graduated several years ago, and have four or five years of work experience. I have also served as an adjunct assistant professor at a national university. Yet a senior executive at the company (not a mass, indiscriminate outreach) wrote to invite me to interview for a “Ministry of Science and Technology project contract assistant” position.

Looking at the backgrounds of several of this company’s top executives, it’s not too surprising.
