Before the interview, I asked HR about the focus of the test, such as whether it would involve programming languages, but HR said they weren’t sure and showed no intention of asking the engineering department for me. It felt like the staff at the same company weren’t very familiar with one another or that communication was poor.

2 . It felt like the company posted the position without actually intending to hire an engineer for that role. If that’s the case, why waste each other’s time?

3 . Salary was not discussed because, based on the interview process, the company seemed to be looking for an engineer who could do everything.
