The environment is pretty good, and the boss likes to hire attractive women for general affairs and administrative roles.
The former sales director was very capable, but has already left.
The salary is low.
1. The boss keeps you after work every day for “training” and sells you grand promises.
2. There is no complete training program. After two weeks, the same classes come around again and they ask you to take them all over again.
3. Sales staff are expected to develop new business. The average order value is too low, so you have to prepare proposals yourself, and at night you still have to listen to the boss sell you grand visions.
The boss strongly favors people who have strong opinions. If he likes someone, he will continue to like them even if they are a pig—perhaps because the boss himself is…??
4. The boss does not allow sales and planning staff to get along too well. So if he finds out that you privately arrange to go out together after work or on weekends, he will email the entire company telling everyone that they are here to work, not to make friends. Do I really have to report who I go out with on weekends too? ==
