Pros

1. Here, you can observe all kinds of insect ecology.

2. It trains you to face the ever-changing vicissitudes of life in a timely manner.

3. You can focus completely on the computer and work on the projects that are actually your responsibility—let me say that again, the projects that are actually your responsibility.

4. Your colleagues will teach you how to spend three days doing something that could have been solved in one day.

5. The senior employees of the Glass House will teach you the principle of turning one thing into two.

6. The senior employees always give you only rough outlines, giving you plenty of room to exercise your creativity and squander your talent on planning drawings.

7. It helps you cultivate the temperament to believe that waiting is a virtue.

8. It is a place where you can learn all about the dark side of society, while cultivating a positive, optimistic spirit.

9. A company that significantly increases a hospital’s output may also have partnerships with hospitals.

Cons

1. About the Coffee Insect:

(1). After working for three hours, it starts grinding coffee beans, brewing pour-over coffee, and wandering around, while earning more than 40K a month.

(2). It often teases female colleagues. According to the Insect’s explanation, this so-called teasing means that it cares about you—absolutely do not misunderstand. In particular, when it calls and asks the colleagues around a female employee about her recent situation or similar matters, that is merely concern. Let me say that again: it is merely concern.

(3). It often holds a lollipop in its mouth and tells its colleagues, “I’m going to sprint now. Don’t disturb me for the moment.” (By ordinary standards, this probably feels a little chuuni, right?) It then lowers its head and works seriously on a presentation. But when you look at the presentation, you can imagine that you could finish it in an hour, whereas the Insect needs 24 times as long to complete it. Of course, that does not include overtime. This absolutely does not mean that its abilities are poor—really, it does not.

(4). The Coffee Insect is very popular with the Glass Men and Women. They ask the Coffee Insect’s opinion about every matter, large or small. Naturally, the Coffee Insect is also very happy to give them its “insect”-conceived opinions—oh yes, insect, not human.

(5). The Coffee Insect has excellent lung capacity. It often loudly tells everyone in the pet box of an office how unhappy it is. Occasionally, you can even hear profanities or vulgar expressions. At such times, you should be understanding, because it has lung capacity but no EQ.

2. About the Ninety-Nine Insect:

(1). Its desk is often covered with all kinds of “ethanol”-based beverages. Of course, it absolutely never drinks at work; they are all for decoration. They really are all for decoration.

(2). The Ninety-Nine Insect is quite similar in nature to a myna bird. It often repeats what its subordinates have said, of course in front of its superior. Myna birds always recognize their master.

(3). Occasionally, it gives you rather unclear instructions and makes you cast a wide net on a large scale, but the solution it happened to discuss with its superior may not include any of the options in that net, giving you an opportunity to broaden your horizons and absorb a wide range of knowledge.

3. As for the supervisor who is comparatively normal, they take very good care of people and subordinates. Their only shortcoming is that they look after only their own people. If you are not a direct subordinate or a confidant, you just happen to fall outside that scope. At that point, you can only fend for yourself.

4. The boss often selectively forgets what they themselves have said or done. It is “selective” amnesia, okay~ I think the boss must be testing everyone’s memory, seeing whether we listened carefully to what they said. After all, a common problem among modern people is a lack of concentration. The boss is truly taking great pains and deserves praise.

(For example, if you discussed a salary of 32K during the interview but actually received 28K, you absolutely must not go ask the boss, “Why don’t you remember that we agreed on 30K?” The boss will only use the phrases “weathering difficult times together” and “find comrades-in-arms” to shut you up, while putting on an attitude of “If you don’t like it, do whatever you want.”)

5. You often receive urgent assignments, but they are not urgent assignments from your own projects. Usually, they are urgent assignments from the Coffee Insect or the “partner company” upstairs. These so-called urgent assignments are usually given to you in the afternoon, with instructions such as “It’s needed this afternoon” or “It’s needed by 10 tomorrow morning”—and they are urgent assignments that you cannot work on until you wait for the shared computer.

6. Everyone from three offices has to wait to use one shared computer (setting aside the fact that it still uses pirated software). You have to queue. Remember, waiting is a virtue. If an Insect cuts in line, you still have to smile and let it go first, because it will tell you that this is an urgent assignment.

7. Some larvae follow behind the Insect King and Insect Queen, diligently offering praise. You can even see the larvae’s “praise” in every nook and cranny, large and small.

8. As long as you remember this while working here: the boss is an extremely capable planner; the boss is an extremely capable grand planner; the boss is an extremely capable grand planner. Never question their expertise, or you may be sent to the Glass House for re-education or something like that.

9. Relations among colleagues are extremely pleasant—truly that kind of extremely pleasant. For quite a long time, people have had to reintroduce themselves every month or two. I think this must be one of the boss’s trials for us, giving us an opportunity and a stage to practice our speaking skills and continually improve our social abilities. The boss is truly taking great pains.

10. Even when you are in different companies, you can still hear Sheng X, Zhu X, You X, Kang X, Li X, and several other companies all saying in unison that they are people from this company. They are different companies, but their personnel are of one mind. I have never seen such a united company, and some even have connections with an association. Such a united company with such extensive connections is truly worth learning from! It is absolutely not some kind of network of vested interests! Absolutely not!

11. The boss is incredibly effective! You often see the head walk directly into the office of some official at some bureau or department of the New Taipei City Government to discuss matters directly, and before long, projects come knocking on their own. As for what category this behavior belongs to, that remains unknown.
