No advantages were apparent during the interview process...
Position interviewed for: ERP Engineer
Throughout the process, the manager was the one who called to invite me to the interview. At the beginning, I explained that I had approximately one year of experience and described my level of ability. During the phone call, the manager thought it was acceptable, so they invited me for an interview. They asked about my expected salary, and I stated NT$40,000. The manager did not say anything, and I went directly to the interview.
During the interview, I first filled out some forms, took an intelligence test, and completed a work assessment. After I finished, HR began the interview. HR's professional abilities were very poor—they did not even know what SOHO meant... They also asked whether I was a company...
The manager gave me the impression that they expected a certain level of professional ability but did not want to offer too much in salary. I guess the salary would be around NT$35,000.... The entire interview process was not uncomfortable, but during the phone interview I had already explained my level of ability and expected salary. However, there was a discrepancy between the job duties described during the interview and what the manager had said. Thinking about it afterward, it felt a bit like they were having people come in to help them meet their performance targets.
