A few years ago, I went to OgilvyOne for an interview.

I discovered that the senior copywriter interviewing me didn’t understand digital at all.

They would just write copy and give it to the AE, then the AE would report that the copy’s performance metrics weren’t very good.

They would ask the copywriter to write something new for them.

I want to tell this old-fashioned company that your copywriters don’t understand digital at all.

You’re just using traditional advertising thinking to do digital marketing.
