I used to work in the department at this company with the deepest “resentment,” so I’m sharing this in passing.
1. The colleagues are all very nice, and senior coworkers are willing to mentor newcomers. Colleagues often get along very well.
2. Because the pressure is very high, there are plenty of opportunities for you to grow. It’s a place for beginners to hone their skills (though I wouldn’t exactly call it a “good place to be”).
3. Although the boss has foresight, they often have unrealistic expectations and little ability to execute, so things ultimately amount to empty talk.
4. The boss comes from a sales background, so you can learn many sales techniques.
1. The boss has a very strong need for control, and projects have to be reported to them almost every two days. Even if you already reported before leaving work on Friday, you still have to report again on Monday morning.
2. The boss is very emotional, so you have to put up with their temper.
3. The boss is extremely stingy with employees in every respect. In addition to the low salary, there are often excuses for reducing or withholding performance bonuses.
4. When problems arise, the boss often makes employees take the blame while presenting themselves as the good person.
5. Staff are frequently pulled off projects, causing development schedules to be delayed.
6. For sick leave, you “must” provide proof of a medical visit, and the boss will also give you dirty looks and lecture you. Personal leave is only approved if it involves something that “must absolutely be handled by you personally and can only be handled on a workday”; otherwise, it is always rejected. Annual leave depends on the boss’s mood, and your leave may be canceled for any reason.
7. The turnover rate is very high. Some departments have completely replaced their entire staff within a year.
8. The equipment is outdated. The company’s ancient laptop was used until its screen finally died, and the boss found an old monitor to connect to it so it could keep being used.
9. The boss does not trust employees.
