Skill building
Basically, whatever the boss says goes. Other than gaining experience, there aren't really any other good points here. People often have to wear multiple hats, and responsibilities are extremely varied. Engineers also have to handle PM duties. Even when requesting "annual leave," you still have to gauge the boss's mood. Even if your request has already been approved, if the boss is unhappy, they will still come up with countless excuses to block you. Interns completing alternative military service generally aren't retained. Senior engineers have left one after another, and regular full-time employees usually leave after a year. It's not a place that can retain people.
