玉晶光電股份有限公司
Pros

Saturdays and Sundays are fixed days off.

Graduates with master's degrees from National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, or National Cheng Kung University have a fixed monthly salary of NT$43,000, but there is no overtime pay. Before the interview, they say that everything complies with the Labor Standards Act.

After joining, overtime pay is nowhere to be seen.

During working hours, employees must wear a uniform and indoor slippers (provided by the company). Men wear a white uniform shirt and jacket printed with GSEO (provided by the company), along with dark-colored pants (self-provided), while women wear pencil skirts.

There are quite a lot of attractive women there; assistant staff earn around NT$30,000 per month.

The company provides meals from Shin Nong. I forgot whether it is in the basement or on the first floor. The food is okay, and you take as much as you want.

The company consistently employs Vietnamese migrant workers. They are around 20 years old and not too old.

Cons

The company is divided into the photography department and the optics department.

There is no overtime pay in the lighting department, while some sections of the optics department do provide it.

The company has not made money in recent years, so there are no year-end bonuses or year-end banquets. However, the list of employees receiving promotions is announced before the Lunar New Year.

Academic credentials are only useful if they are from top universities. A master's degree from an ordinary, lesser-known university is no more useful than a degree from an ordinary university.

The managers are around 40 years old and all have master's degrees. I have met one National Taiwan University doctoral student there.
