The pay is pretty good

“1. The salary and benefits look good, but the company isn’t stupid either. What you have to give up (time, life, dreams) far exceeds this money. Put plainly, the money the company gives you is what you get in exchange for your time (life).

If you’re really, really interested in convenience stores and want to apply for this position (selling your soul), I strongly advise against becoming a management trainee in the Changzhong District. The supervisors (the regional HR specialist, district consultant, and district manager) are terrible—especially the regional HR specialist, who is supposedly the management trainees’ nanny but is actually... a management trainee killer! If you don’t encounter a good store manager in the early stages, you’re pretty much done (90% of them are lousy store managers who can’t teach)...

3. In this industry, it’s actually a case of bad money driving out good money. Those who get promoted aren’t the ones with the best abilities; they need to become Uni-President’s believers, making the supervisors feel that they’re loyal like dogs. Even when being scolded, they can’t bark back. Many management trainees eventually develop mental illnesses (anxiety disorders).

4. Conclusion: If you consider yourself someone who doesn’t know what direction to take in the future, this is indeed a place where you can hone yourself and force out your potential (your slavish nature).” I sincerely thank this place for everything it taught me!
