The supervisor's attitude was okay.
The position applied for was not a technician position.
HR may have a KPI based on the number of interviewees. Before the interview, I had to take tests in Chinese, mathematical logic, English listening, and reading, then fill out a health information form. Before the interview, I also had to take a personality test and provide a contact list of two friends; the fields could not be left blank or filled in with relatives or family members.
Then, before the results were even available, I had a brief conversation with the supervisor. The supervisor also seemed unsure why HR had invited me for an interview and felt that I could go home. The supervisor seemed somewhat apologetic about this, suggesting that they had not reviewed my résumé beforehand.
If you receive an interview invitation, make sure to clarify things with HR in advance and tactfully confirm the details; otherwise, you may easily make a wasted trip.
