They are accustomed to tormenting employees under the guise of “training,” while taking no responsibility, providing no training, and offering no development, yet assuming that employees must know how to do everything.

XX believes: Young people must sign a contract; this is for their own good, to prevent them from giving up easily when they encounter “unreasonable torment.” The reality is that when survival and a penalty are placed in front of you at the same time, everyone will choose the former.

XX believes: A product only needs to score 70 out of 100. As long as employees can be pressured into completing acceptance checks immediately and money can be collected, that is enough. The product’s actual completeness and stability do not matter, and its value for money is completely unreasonable. The most frightening thing is that the boss does not really care about the condition of the company’s own products—perhaps they do not dare to look.

XX believes: Everything is very simple; how could anything possibly be done incorrectly or poorly? (Asking for help is useless.) Even when you have done something well, you cannot say how it should be done or how the division of labor could be improved, because the boss will think you are shirking responsibility, and does not care about what you have accomplished.

When a supervisor constantly criticizes their subordinates but never reflects on themselves, it is no surprise that the subordinates can only continue passing the blame downward and never see their own problems.
