Waipu Plant:

A company to retire at

The boss is fairly polite to people, but lacks patience (the handover between the two generations is currently underway, so it is unclear what the future holds).

Most departments pay overtime, lunch is provided by the company, and dinner is also provided if you work overtime.

There is a housing allowance for employees renting outside, welfare benefits for funerals and celebrations, and scholarships for children who excel at school. “Most” colleagues are relatively kind and polite.

Waipu Plant:

1. The company has no clear goals or plans for the future and has remained stagnant for many years.

2. I strongly do not recommend applying for any position in the Electrical Control Department (Automation Control Engineer/Assistant Engineer). There are major management problems with the supervisor (this department has the highest turnover rate). The only people left are newcomers (with 1–2 years of experience) and the supervisor, creating a significant gap in experience because everyone else was forced out through internal conflict. Upper management is no longer able to intervene or remedy the situation.

3. Mechanical Engineer: Long overtime hours (if you do not work overtime, the supervisor will question you), the supervisor dislikes sudden leave requests, the work environment is ordinary, and the atmosphere is somewhat dull.
