Pros

One year of work experience, with skills in web frontend, backend, and app design.

After joining, I wrote frontend code and went out for fieldwork; I barely did any of the work content that had been discussed beforehand.

Salary: 38,000, 13 months’ pay.

No overtime pay. No overtime pay. No overtime pay.

Only compensatory leave granted at the boss’s discretion.

I recommend negotiating a higher salary at the beginning.

Do not believe what the boss says about “the company having prospects” or “what the future will be like.”

In four months after joining, I was assigned only two projects.

One of them resulted in a fine.

The other involved being exploited by the government over maintenance work.

The number of employees is not as high as the website claims; it does not have 10 people.

One female president surnamed Li (major shareholder, usually handles administration).

One supervisor surnamed Zhao (shareholder, usually handles sales and manages project direction).

One part-time engineering supervisor.

Two engineers (nice people and easy to get along with).

Generally, there is also a business assistant who lasts less than one month on average.

If there is no assistant, you will also have to take on their responsibilities.

Interview test:

If you are interviewing for an app software engineer position,

the perennial test is to test your ability to connect to APIs.

Implement it using HttpClient + AsyncTask and WebSocket.

As long as it works, that is fine. Try to write it using native methods as much as possible; the engineering supervisor does not like people using third-party packages.

Regular working hours:

8:30–18:00.

The two shareholders (bosses) usually arrive after 10:30.

You clock in and out.

After 8:40, being one minute late means you have to take one hour of leave.

Cons

Work is very idle—really, very idle.

Because management does not plan schedules,

there is generally nothing to do, but you still have to find things to look busy.

When there is work, they usually give it to you at the last moment before the deadline and tell you to rush.

The technical level is mediocre. I do not recommend joining to improve your skills, because your work content is almost entirely filled with miscellaneous tasks.

By the end, you will not even know how to use Git.

The technologies used are usually the same, because even when taking on hospital cases, there are not many opportunities to practice different types of work.

I recommend joining only if you want an easy, low-pressure job. If you still want to pursue further development in the software field, I do not recommend joining.
