Although it’s common to hear about company policies changing from one day to the next,
I still can’t help but complain a bit.
Certain people are department heads, yet they can’t make any decisions and simply let their superiors change policies on a whim,
causing their subordinates to do pointless work every day. They never coordinate with upper management at all,
and only pretend in the office to be on the same side as their subordinates while complaining,
but strangely, they also forbid anyone else from criticizing the way their superiors do things.
There are a lot of rumors and gossip, and certain managers especially love to sow discord and curry favor with those in power.
The most ridiculous thing is the brain-dead treadmill policy:
it requires employees above a certain rank to run for 40 minutes every day and forces them to spend an extra hour after work,
claiming that running is meant to let us rest,
but it is enforced without any respect for individual autonomy,
and refusing to comply results in a deduction from the performance bonus.
I guess what this means is that no matter how hard you work,
if you don’t run, your bonus just disappears like that!
Am I here to run or to work? ^^
Well, the pay is pretty good,
so if you’re willing to come here and let people trample on your professional expertise for the sake of the money, you can join too!
