1. Five-star prices—everything is “a bargain (Taiwanese)”!!!
2. High employee turnover, with few full-time staff and many newcomers; otherwise, there is a stark divide between employees who are extremely experienced and those who are not.
3. Interns are enthusiastically welcomed in large numbers. Most schools only offer six-month internships. Officially, these are said to train students for the hospitality industry, but in reality they are intended to reduce labor costs. However, this situation is becoming more common, rather than less, across all industries.
4. One of the training centers for demanding customers: every effort is made to satisfy customers’ needs, but this causes inconvenience to on-site staff. Special VIP treatment only encourages more complaints from people clamoring for handouts, making the situation even worse.
