Pros

Start with courtesy before criticism; let’s begin with something positive... Salaries are paid on time... That’s about it.

First, regarding leave...

Regardless of how the Executive Yuan announces adjustments to holidays and make-up workdays, the company still refuses to implement them because it does not want employees to have consecutive days off.

Whether employees work on typhoon days depends on the wind and rain that day and the boss’s mood. If the boss decides that employees should come in and you take the day off in accordance with the county government’s announcement, you will lose one day’s salary plus your production bonus.

The five-day workweek is only for show as well. Overtime on Saturdays is mandatory. Packaging staff are also required to work overtime on weekday evenings. Those who do not will have their production bonus and year-end bonus deducted.

Now, regarding salary...

If you do not know how to curry favor and flatter people, your chances of getting a raise are close to zero!

Currently, new employees’ starting pay is approximately NT$21,000 actually received after labor and health insurance deductions, plus overtime pay.

Also, in response to this year’s one fixed day off and one flexible rest day policy, the current payroll system only pays the base salary, perfect-attendance bonus, and overtime pay each month.

Other allowances and additional payments (only some employees receive them), production bonuses, etc., are paid together during the three major traditional festivals.

They have not been paid yet, so it is still unclear what the outcome will be.

As for how production bonuses are assessed, it depends on the person in charge. Even with terrible performance and a low yield rate, if you work overtime and obey instructions, you receive a high bonus! If you are disobedient and do not work overtime, even excellent performance will be rated low; some people have even had the entire bonus deducted.

Finally, regarding the supervisors...

In four simple words: “take credit and shift blame.”

When nothing is wrong, they want to control everything; when something goes wrong, not one of them can be found...

In summary~

If you are only looking for a job that pays a meager salary so you can slack off and get through the days, you are very welcome to work here.

But if you have ambitious goals and want to shine and make a difference in your career, you should look elsewhere.
