The company has only four permanent employees (including the owner); everyone else has a very high turnover rate. I applied for the document secretary position. Before starting work, they asked me to review materials (immigration-related legal English). On my first day, they asked me to write about my understanding of the materials, which turned out to be a test. They then mocked me for not having studied properly. After that, they started a one-week probationary period (with a minimum wage of NT$21,000 during the period). If you had questions, the person assigned to train you was very busy and would not teach you. When you asked questions, you were even scolded and told, “Isn’t it written on the documents?” (Legal English is difficult enough to understand even with the Chinese translation...) After the week was over, you were fired. During that time, I saw three people leave the company. It felt like a very unpleasant company.
