The work is broadly divided into two types:
On-site staff:
Spending long hours at the factory, where organic solvents are frequently used in some areas. You need to take good care of your health.
Non-on-site staff:
Whenever there is a problem with a product, everything gets dumped on R&D. They only occasionally go to the site, and the disconnect is huge.
There are still some good supervisors; because they are too capable, they are often sent on assignments to mainland China.
It is an ecosystem of upper management who paint grand visions, middle management who are passing-the-buck champions, and front-line employees who get treated like garbage.
Employee benefits... basically, they still depend on the department (the cost-performance ratio); there are a lot of long-timers.
