The overall salary is pretty good, but you lose your competitiveness once you join. Only the old guard’s favorites receive good performance evaluations. Many of the old guard draw a salary without doing any real work and order employees to engage in all kinds of sycophantic behavior. When hiring, they only look for candidates who will not threaten their position in the company or their chances of promotion, or they insert their own favorites. Naturally, helping write school reports, making handicrafts, and taking care of personal errands outside the office are all common occurrences.
