Sharing my experience working at this restaurant

(As I left some time ago, the situations described below may not still apply, and perhaps things have improved!?)

Regardless of whether you work front or back of house, the starting salary for new employees is between NT$21,000 and NT$23,000, with six days off.

NT$3,000 is deducted upfront for the uniform. Labor and health insurance are not provided within the first seven days of employment; if you are injured during this period, you are responsible for it yourself.

There is no overtime pay, public holidays during the Lunar New Year are not paid at double the rate, and there is no employee meal.

The owner clearly favors some employees over others. If the owner really dislikes someone, they will find an excuse to dismiss that person.

Do not be too capable here, because you will be given more and more things to do, while your salary of course will not increase accordingly.

Do not quibble with the owner or the company here, because that will be seen as a lack of willingness to learn and ambition.

However, the owner and the company will quibble with you over everything, because that is considered your duty and what you are expected to contribute.
