Business performance is very good, but it is all achieved by profiting at the expense of employees’ wages. The highest-paid people inside are the part-time student workers, because they do not have to work overtime. Overtime is not paid. Taiwan’s current one fixed day off and one flexible rest day policy is fundamentally unable to regulate this kind of company. They will first agree on a salary with you, but that salary already includes the overtime pay for having to work on Saturdays. How can Taiwan have something this vicious? This is an emotionally managed company, and it is extremely penny-pinching with employees. The turnover is enormous. Taiwan should establish strict laws and inspection systems for companies this reprehensible.
