Pros

Those considering joining should think twice. The year-end bonus is calculated based on base salary, which is usually extremely low. For example, for a Level 2 rotating-shift technician (university degree), the base salary one year ago was NT$14,500, divided by 30 days, amounting to NT$483.3 per day. The regular year-end bonus is 90 days—sometimes even less—although they claim it is guaranteed to be two months. In practice, 483 × 90 = NT$43,470. On top of that, they deduct 20 days, saying it will be paid in the month of the Dragon Boat Festival. Other allowances have to be forcibly added to the monthly salary to reach the supposed NT$37,000, but it is usually around NT$34,000. In addition, it operates on a three-shift system—morning, afternoon, and night—with six days on and two days off. The environment is poor and extremely unfriendly to frontline employees.
