Snacks, coffee, and tea are always well stocked. I enjoy interacting with my colleagues (I’m not very sociable myself), and almost everyone is very friendly. The company follows the Labor Standards Act (this is really important!!), and break times are quantified, so there’s no need to worry about who takes more breaks.
At first, I was very happy working there, and there weren’t many restrictions (there were some, but I felt they were basic workplace rules). However, later on, customers gradually began making unreasonable requests, and we were still expected to meet them even when they were unreasonable. For example, the overall average call time was required to stay within seven minutes, while we were also expected to provide excellent customer service. In addition, because problems on the customers’ end often couldn’t be resolved promptly, we frequently received complaint calls but were unable to provide assistance and could only endure the customers’ scolding. Toward the end of my employment, I felt exhausted from having to chase the so-called seven-minute limit every month (every call lasting more than ten minutes was extremely stressful). Although the company complies with the Labor Standards Act, after weighing everything, I still chose to resign for the sake of my mental health.
