The company environment is pretty good, and the secretary who trains and supervises people is very friendly.
There’s too much to say.
First of all, the position I interviewed for was called Japanese Secretary.
Then I waited more than half an hour for the interview—about 45 minutes, I guess? I don’t know; I was waiting so long I almost fell asleep.
The sloppily dressed female manager finally arrived late. Then, every time she asked me a question, she insulted me. She said, “You’re so young—why would you want to be a secretary?” and “You have no experience—why would you want to be a secretary?” Then she said, “Oh, I only asked you to come because I wanted to see whether someone this young might be better.”
?????????
Then she continued by saying that the current secretary was very good, but was leaving because of poor health and could no longer do the job—not because we forced him to leave.
But when I asked about the working hours, she said the official hours were 9–18, but as the secretary, you had to come in at 7 to open the office. Then everyone worked overtime, and since you were the secretary, it wouldn’t look good for you to leave earlier than me, the manager, would it? But I wouldn’t require the secretary to leave that late; you could probably get off work around eight or nine. Still, occasionally you’d have to work until eleven. Could you handle that?
Oh, right—we don’t pay overtime.

She said similar things for about an hour. It was all about how the company was great but I wasn’t good enough, or how the secretary in Korean dramas was perfect and I should be like that too.
