I interviewed for a procurement position. The interview lasted about an hour in total, but only around 5–10 minutes were spent on the manager introducing the position and asking about my experience. The rest of the time, the manager kept asking about my previous company’s processes, product specifications, main suppliers, who its competitors were, price ranges, and so on. It felt like they were probing for industry intelligence, which came across as rather dishonest and made me uncomfortable.
