Everyone seems nice on the surface.

On the first day of submitting my documents, they had me memorize the menu! It was in Italian and Chinese, but the menu itself was in English and Chinese. The entire kitchen staff were Taiwanese, so what was the point of memorizing the Italian menu?

I previously worked with Italians at another Italian restaurant, and it was never this absurd.

When I reported for my first day at the restaurant, my instructor had to order a boxed lunch for the manager and then asked me to wait a moment, which delayed the training. Afterwards, they turned around and said that my learning progress was too slow and that I needed to work faster. I immediately raised this with my instructor, but the instructor instead told the manager that my emotional reaction was too strong. I was left completely confused. I sincerely believe that if you are considering working for this company, you should think it through carefully.
