A bunch of old-timers still have outdated and unrealistic ideas and expect employees to obey. If you’re not good at flattering people, don’t go.

They promote you by having you take on more work first, but won’t adjust your salary or give you the position. They only give you a raise and promotion once they’re satisfied.

The Zhonghe headquarters is basically a place to coast and slack off. Taoyuan is full of all kinds of shady characters. There are many people who maliciously falsify overtime expenses and survive by filing petty reports. If they want to target you, they’ll constantly claim that you use your phone or play games during work hours. The supervisors are also blind and won’t judge the facts, and they don’t even dare check the surveillance footage.

Many engineers aren’t even as capable as technicians. They’re all talk. When senior engineers are questioned by clients during audits, they can’t say a word, and the clients laugh and ask, “Are these really people from your company?” Afterwards, they shift the blame to the technicians.

When handling disputes at a supplier’s site, the supplier only sent a deputy section chief to respond, and the engineer was still smug, relentlessly badmouthing the deputy section chief. They apparently didn’t know that in the past, suppliers would have the vice president and sales staff host visitors throughout the entire meeting.

Yet the company values this kind of talent… ha ha.

When the Mainland division came for a technical exchange, they raised dozens of issues requiring improvement. The supervisor privately asked a senior engineer to ask the Mainland exchange participants to go easy on them. Instead, the senior engineer had someone secretly photograph the exchange participants using their phones during work hours, intending to use the photos as leverage…

This kind of company is fine if you just want to pad your résumé, but if you really want to improve your professional abilities… don’t waste your time.
