康倪國際企業股份有限公司
Pros

* The design supervisor is very protective of their subordinates

* The work environment is fairly good

* The colleagues are also quite friendly

Cons

* Don’t think of yourself as a designer. When you come for the interview, approach it with the mindset that you’re applying to be a graphic production artist, so the sense of disappointment won’t be as great.

* Although the positions are all under the title of “designer,” the work is very miscellaneous—so miscellaneous that you won’t know whether you’re a product designer or a graphic designer. Anyway, you’ll have to do all sorts of ridiculous tasks.

* The company is quite absurd. Many of the vendors who come for meetings, or who are well known in the market, have truly outlandish ideas: they want to do whatever they feel like doing, without considering whether it’s feasible at all. When getting things approved and signed by the boss, everything depends entirely on their mood, and they often take their frustrations out on employees. They also have very little restraint when it comes to insulting people.

* During interviews, they usually say that they’ll adjust your salary after three months, but there are also many people who have stayed at the company for more than two or three years without ever receiving a raise. The company’s turnover rate is extremely high; usually, a large number of people leave after the year-end bonus.

* It’s a company that’s very suitable for padding your résumé, because you can learn a lot there. If you don’t care much about the pay and simply want to learn, then go for it.

* Although it’s a large company, it has a terrible reputation. The entire company system is extremely rigid and old-fashioned. The managers are basically older people who have secured their positions and will stay there until retirement.

* When there’s credit to take, the supervisors take it; when there are problems, they push the responsibility onto their subordinates. Every one of them is highly skilled at passing the buck—it’s almost admirable.

* The entire company is made up of women, with only a few men. Anyway, wherever there are many women, you inevitably get all kinds of opportunistic behavior and backstabbing.

* Very few people stay at the company for more than two years. Not to mention that although the salary and benefits appear to be quite good, in reality there’s nothing there.

After staying for a long time, you’ll discover that all the ingredients in the company’s skincare products are cheap materials, yet they’re sold at absurdly high prices at department-store counters. No explanation.
