Taiwan branch: Singapore-based Yujia, a foreign company
The interviewer was friendly and polite
The company’s future prospects remain uncertain
I applied for position A, but the interviewer kept recommending position B
The interviewer had a headhunting background and cut the salary directly over the phone
Glints not recommended (Singapore-based Star Industry Technology) / a minefield
· Foreign-company facade, Taiwanese core: If you have worked at a Fortune 500 company or a world-class multinational brand, it is very difficult to fit into the local corporate culture.
・Bureaucratic system: The proportion of overseas-returned colleagues is low. Most foreign employees are from Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, or Hong Kong—not Europe or the United States. Management likes to monitor employees’ every move. Simply put, it is rule by individuals.
・Flat organization: This does not exist, because management was trained in local companies. This is not a purely foreign-company team; they do not understand respect and lack an international perspective. Going over the head of one’s supervisor is commonplace. The most uncultured people in all of Taiwan are here.
・The startup has potential (?) Currently, it has no profitability. The team does not understand the market and has not found a good business model. Simply put, they are working haphazardly because the company will not collapse and has received funding.
・Extremely high turnover: Professionals cannot stay because the company has no direction. Young people who have accumulated work experience move to larger companies with established systems.
・Office politics: Yes. Even though the walls are leaking, they still have to fuss over these trivial matters.
・Barrier-free communication (?) The people there cannot understand plain language and do not understand professional matters; they make up 95% of the staff.
·Poor reputation in the market: Customers and candidates constantly complain about being harassed by this company’s employees via email.
The above is provided for professionals in all industries as a reference. There is no need to gamble with your career.
Perfect in every way
There are 17LIVE dolls.
Personally, I think the transportation is convenient.
The company atmosphere feels very cold and indifferent.
I waited at the entrance for a long time and rang the bell, and another interviewee and I waited for at least 10 minutes.
The supervisor did not introduce themselves or first explain the job duties in detail or briefly introduce the company. They just kept asking how applicants would respond to different situations with customers and what questions they had, but they did not listen very patiently until the end.
The entire interview felt insincere and somewhat like a waste of time.
You have to bring your own laptop, and only after passing the probationary period will you receive a subsidy (which covers only a small portion).
The HR team is very friendly.
They greet you with a smile during the interview, but afterward complain all over Facebook, constantly posting about how hard it is to recruit! I really have no idea what kind of person the finance manager actually wants 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
No clocking in or out
Free snacks
Comfortable environment
Online colleagues are smart and very nice
Policies change from day to day
Regarding the offline side:
1. Low base salary and small year-end bonuses. The company keeps a bunch of useless employees and does not fire those who should be fired, affecting team performance and causing high performers to unfairly receive less pay.
2. Offline supervisors focus on the person rather than the issue; they are stubborn and inflexible.
3. The business supervisors below them are merely puppets and are not smart.
4. Most of the business staff slack off and rationalize their behavior. Everyone says they are going to resign, but no one actually does. They only talk and no one really gets anything done.
5. If you like wasting your life, this place will suit you well—you will learn nothing.
Colleagues are easy to get along with
The office is large and flexible
Some colleagues are very attractive
Fitness subsidy
Snacks ordered every month
Work and play at overseas branches
Spring banquet and 17 together
Employee trips to amazing places
Low salary, with no salary increases—or only small ones
People with poor abilities earn high salaries and hold high positions
Capable people cannot get promoted
A bunch of parachuted-in hires
None
The HR team’s professionalism needs improvement. They asked many questions that should have been discussed with the hiring manager.
When I asked her questions in return, she said those should be directed to the hiring manager. The whole thing left me utterly baffled...
You also have to provide your own computer (there is a subsidy, but it doesn’t cover 100%). If this is important to you, think carefully before applying.
Comfortable work environment, relaxed atmosphere
Foreign company with large capital and branches in the Asia-Pacific region
Young employees, with a higher proportion of women
Has brand ambassadors and an ample advertising budget
Senior management did not discuss salary and benefits directly with the applicant during the interview process. Instead, on the second day, the HR manager called to notify the applicant of the offer and verbally state the base salary, which was disrespectful to the applicant
After the applicant tactfully declined, the HR manager kept making repeated calls (8 calls), which was quite outrageous
Managerial positions did not have a salary package. In 2016, the year-end bonus was one month’s salary. The sales team worked toward a team performance target: 1% commission on every million, with the rate remaining at 1% even above that amount
For the Taiwan market, an effective profit model has not yet been found to convert member traffic into cash flow
