In some departments, taking leave or compensatory time off is met with all kinds of difficulties and refusals; in others, even the most arbitrary reasons are approved.

For compensatory time off for holiday support activities, if you are maliciously obstructed until the deadline passes, HR will automatically swallow it up.

They nitpick over all kinds of attendance and tardiness issues; being one minute late is included in performance evaluations, while all kinds of overtime are not.

Labor and health insurance are provided, but during the first week of the probationary period, they will not enroll you in either.

This year's year-end bonus was one month's salary, but only half was paid. HR announced, "The other half will be paid in March if the company doesn't go under."

The reason is:

Most employees have been here for less than a year, so they cannot receive a full month's bonus anyway. Calculated proportionally, some people received only a few thousand dollars. So they might as well pay the salary first.
