There is a wide variety, and you can get to know many pet products.
Xinzhuang Zhongzheng Store
In a performance-based environment, competition is normal.
But I’ve never seen people compete this aggressively before.
New hires who started at the same time are taught that they must do their work and are not allowed to take sales credit.
If you are too proactive in introducing products to customers, you may be told that you are not a team player.
When customers want to buy something, the counter staff refer them all to the team leader (who has the highest sales and gets to reap the benefits).
For small purchases, they call on the new hires, as if they consider it charity.
The long-serving employees who manage to stay get more of these handouts.
New hires receive only the basic salary; regardless of whether you have experience, you are not allowed to be too proactive.
When I raised this with management, they already knew about it, and their response was just perfunctory and dismissive.
The small animals are cute
At the Xinzhuang Zhongzheng store, the manager does not allow employees to sit. The salary described during the actual interview was inconsistent with what was said afterward. There were issues with the staff. When I first applied for the pet department, I was told that the front desk would not interfere with the affairs of the floor staff. However, the cat-area employees worked the same shifts and had the same days off as the front-desk employee. They were extremely aggressive about taking sales credit, and the front-desk employee used aggressive tactics to help the so-called cat-area employee take sales credit. I was even threatened and subjected to harsh remarks!
When I reported this to the manager and store manager, they did not step in to mediate and only told me to endure it. They handled the matter passively and took no responsibility; frontline employees have virtually no rights.
