I passed the interview, but after working there for a few days, I felt it was not a good fit. The company did not pay the wages required under the Labor Standards Act for the days worked, nor did it enroll the employee in labor and health insurance from the first day of work. The reasons I felt it was not a good fit were that I had to write a daily work report (what I did and from what time to what time) and email it to all the investors (the company also has a parent company, which includes these investors). Based on my very brief observation, the company seems to have an overtime culture, and colleagues also seem to work overtime very deliberately, without overtime pay. There was also a surveillance camera behind the seat that could monitor employees’ work computer screens, which felt very uncomfortable.
