I was asked to fill in my family members’ names, their occupations and ages, my previous salary, my national ID number, emergency contact information, and so on…

I don’t understand. I’m only interviewing, and I haven’t even joined the company yet. What on earth do you need all this information for? When I asked about the job duties, you couldn’t even explain them clearly.

It gave me the feeling of those unsolicited calls where someone says that, for some reason, they need some of your personal information.
