高雄市私立成峰外語文理短期補習班
Pros

During downtime, you can do your own things. The boss may reprimand you, but basically it’s allowed. The environment is also relatively quiet and friendly. Most of the teachers and students are fairly easy to get along with.

Cons

Position: Part-time front desk worker.

1. During the interview, the manager’s attitude was indecisive. They were uncertain about hiring me, emphasizing that a part-time worker was to come in for a handover the following Monday. After the handover on Monday, I was told to wait for further notice. The interview process covered only what the company required; there was no discussion of salary at all.

2. After I started working, I only learned through asking that the hourly wage was NT$120 (the current statutory minimum wage is NT$133), and they did not proactively enroll me in labor or health insurance (there was absolutely no action on this). After working for a month, my salary still could not be transferred to my Post Office account; they insisted on paying me in cash. (I suspect they were trying to evade taxes.)

3. I worked alone. I had to figure everything out entirely by myself; at first, I had no idea what to do. The tasks could conflict with each other and overlap in timing, which inevitably caused delays. However, everyone else was very busy, and the senior supervisor and the manager’s secretary did not have much time to talk to people.

4. Their administrative requirements were very unfavorable to part-time workers. They effectively resulted in overtime: you had to travel between two locations, and the places to borrow and return the keys were different (about a 10-minute motorcycle ride apart). In addition, the end of the workday was always delayed.
