The body odor on the upper floors is too strong. It’s truly unbearable. Sorry.

Pros

As soon as I went in, I was given a computer-based test and a hand-drawing test. Before the interview, neither of the two interviewers had first familiarized themselves with my background. Their tone was extremely unpleasant, and they were very disrespectful, repeatedly interrupting the interviewee while speaking. Their attitude was terrible. Before the interviewee had finished speaking, they asked the female staff member to leave, and she even conducted the interview while resting her head on her hand.

Cons

A very unpleasant interview experience. While you were interviewing me, I was also observing your company.

Pros

1. The manager who conducted the interview was very friendly, and the interview process was quite relaxed and comfortable.

2. During the interview, there was a simple practical test (testing the ability to thread a needle and to pick up round objects).

3. The company's training process is quite comprehensive. After joining, the manager provided step-by-step instruction, and whenever I had questions, I received help and answers.

4. Regarding benefits, the company guarantees a year-end bonus equivalent to one month's salary, which I think is a very good benefit for operators.

5. The company also adjusts some detailed work duties according to each individual's abilities. Overall, it is quite attentive to employee development and care.

Cons

1. You have to be very careful when working, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier to adapt.

Pros

The interview process was fairly standard, following the usual interview procedures. One stage involved a written foreign-language translation test, with questions generally covering common business and work-related scenarios. As long as you have a certain understanding of the industry and a solid foundation in English, it should not be too difficult.

When discussing the details of the job, most of the responsibilities were similar to those of a typical sales assistant position. What was somewhat different was that the interviewer talked about communication skills, stating that people in this position would need to be able to communicate with colleagues in other departments. My ability to coordinate across departments is fairly good, so this was not an issue. That was essentially the entire interview process. It was quite relaxed, and the interviewer was willing to answer every question.

Cons

Although the interview process was quite pleasant, the company is really too far away, so I may need to give it some more consideration.

Pros

【Overall Interview Experience】

First, I’d like to talk about my overall impression of the interview. I’m someone who gets nervous easily, so every interview usually feels very discouraging to me. However, the interviewers seemed very nice, and it felt more like having a conversation. The interview ended without any pressure, and there was a translation test during the process.

【Job Responsibilities and Benefits】

The interviewer briefly mentioned some of the job responsibilities. Basically, they were about the same as those listed in the job posting I had originally seen. Regarding the benefits, I specifically asked about things such as Wednesday meals, year-end bonuses, and company dinners, and they were all the same as what I had seen on 104.

Cons

If I had to mention an overall drawback, it would probably be that the company is a little far from the nearest MRT station. Since I commute by car, I still had to transfer to a bus on the way there.

Pros

The company’s environment is very clean and bright, unlike the dirty and dim impression traditionally associated with factories. Working in such an environment is not only more comfortable, but also makes it easier to concentrate.

During the interview, there was a threading test and a bean-clamping test. After joining, someone will also teach you, so there is no need to worry too much about being unfamiliar with the tasks or not knowing how to do them.

The benefits include various bonuses and subsidies. Meals are also provided one day a week, along with a guaranteed one month of year-end bonus pay. Overall, the benefits system is very comprehensive.

Cons

Although it is a little farther from the MRT station, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, so it is still fairly convenient.

Pros

I can't think of any.

Cons

It has been more than several hundred days since I left, yet I still hear former colleagues constantly saying that the factory is a mess because of the cliques.

That sales manager is simply not suited to work here; no one will support him. He is foolish for insisting on fairness and justice when he doesn't understand that no one will back him! He is very self-disciplined, but no one supports him, and he keeps being badmouthed.

Only those on the factory manager's favored list are well regarded. For example, others do almost all the heavy work, while poor performance is pushed onto subordinates. His younger brother is often late, but nothing happens to him. I wasn't part of his clique, so I couldn't put up with it anymore and left on my own. Those who don't want to flatter the factory manager can only leave. Even the conscientious owner doesn't know what's going on—everything is kept hidden.

Cons

Today I received a call from someone at JuX Human Resources who wanted to discuss the Japanese-language business assistant position at this company with me. I normally would not leave a review on Tianyan Tong, but after the conversation, I felt that, for the sake of others who may apply for positions at this company in the future, I had no choice but to leave one.

I only spoke with them by phone, but anyone seriously considering applying can use this as a reference, especially recent graduates entering the workforce.

1. Claiming that the part-time worker who previously left a review on Tianyan Tong did so maliciously to obtain severance pay

When I received the call, I happened to be looking at reviews of this position from two years ago. Because I was particularly concerned about labor and health insurance, I directly asked whether the company might have violated the law. The other person said that the issue had been caused by the part-time workers: the workers themselves had said they did not need to be insured, but later turned around and blamed the company for not providing labor and health insurance. They also said that the previous part-time workers were habitual offenders who deliberately acted this way in order to be laid off and obtain so-called severance pay. I did not process this at the time, but thinking about it later, it seemed rather strange: part-time workers deliberately trying to get severance pay...?

2. Believing that employees who have complaints about the company are not good employees

They repeatedly emphasized that they provide everything required by the Labor Standards Act and said that the company treats its employees fairly well, with labor and health insurance as well as annual leave (but aren’t these the bare minimum? So, apparently, simply not breaking the law counts as treating employees well.) Regarding the previous person’s review, they said that people who leave online comments criticizing the company are not very good employees. At that point, I could not help responding with a few words. The imbalance between labor and management in Taiwan is extremely serious. Of course, everyone has to judge for themselves how much truth there is in online reviews, but no one goes around posting negative reviews for no reason. If most people’s reviews of a particular company are not very positive, doesn’t that mean the company needs to improve? Rather than becoming the so-called “good employee” in this company’s eyes, I would rather share the information I obtained with workers, who are already in the relatively weaker position. That is why I am leaving this review. :)

3. No overtime pay

Earlier, the other person said that they provide everything required by the Labor Standards Act. The very next moment, they contradicted themselves by saying that because employees have different levels of efficiency, they were afraid that some people might cause overtime by repeatedly making mistakes or deliberately drag out their work to claim overtime pay. Therefore, they use performance bonuses instead. They also said that it would be unreasonable to receive overtime pay for working an extra half hour or hour. (At that point, I could not listen any longer and interrupted, telling them that regardless of the circumstances, what is owed should still be paid.) This is clearly illegal, although perhaps some people may accept this explanation. I do not really believe that a boss can completely and constantly keep track of every employee’s work situation.

-----------------------------------------

This is my first time leaving a review on Tianyan Tong. I was truly angered by the other person’s sarcastic comments about online reviews. Over the past few years, thanks to the people willing to put forward ideas for improving Taiwan’s employment environment, this platform has given everyone a chance to avoid some unnecessary hardships when job hunting. When employers receive feedback from employees or interviewees, it is one thing not to reflect on it, but to directly deny the value of the platform’s existence and everyone who worked up the courage to leave a review is truly unacceptable. Moreover, today we only had a phone conversation, yet it revealed a whole host of problems. Anyone planning to interview with this company—or looking for work through an agency that cooperates with this company—should exercise extreme caution.

Pros

If you are extremely numb or can endure what others cannot, then this job is not too bad.

Cons

Some so-called managers are more bossy than the boss and harsher than a wicked stepmother. If they see through you and realize that you really want this job, they will mercilessly taunt and belittle you to death. In any case, they can just use the boss’s money to find someone else. The CEO is a good person, but even they cannot save you.

Pros

The work is simple and doesn’t require much thought; it’s easy to pick up. The hourly wage is 135, which is 2 more than 133.

Cons

The following is a review of the position of shipping part-time worker

1. Work environment: The workspace is open-plan, crowded and noisy, and goods are frequently piled up on the floor. During lunchtime, all the employees gather together. Full-time employees have an office where they can rest properly, while part-time workers can only stay in a noisy place where they cannot rest properly and have to listen to others chatting. They are not respected.

2. Company benefits: The hourly wage is 135. According to the benefits description on 104 Job Bank, none of them are provided at all. (See this company’s benefits system: goo.gl/pE262C)

Even the most basic labor and health insurance, employment insurance, and the 6% labor pension contribution are not provided.

Meals are provided every Wednesday, but not to part-time workers. They have never even asked whether we wanted to order a meal.

3. Work schedule arrangements: Basically, the schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasionally, they require one hour of overtime, depending on the supervisor’s mood, and may try to force workers to work overtime.

The scheduling periods appear flexible: you can work 9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., depending on the supervisor’s mood, but they may try to force you to work the entire shift.

As for the number of scheduled days, there is no explicit requirement to come in every day. However, depending on the supervisor’s mood, they may try to force you to work Monday through Friday. If you have personal matters or they discover that you have another part-time job, they will use long-term employees to probe into your privacy and then report it to the supervisor, which can lead to you being deliberately given a hard time.
