Pros

I originally applied for an instrumentation and electrical position. There was no written test during the interview process.

The interview was conducted by the plant manager of the company’s Taiwan plant.

The starting salary during the probationary period was around NT$26,000–27,000.

After passing probation, it would be approximately NT$28,000–29,000.

However, because they were short-staffed, I would only work the morning shift, so I would be on call after work.

This would add approximately NT$2,000–3,000 per month. Currently, it seems that only upper management at the company is Japanese.

At least, I did not see any Japanese staff when I went for the interview. I heard that they are currently reorganizing the system and have started requiring uniforms, occupational safety measures, and so on.

However, the benefits have not yet been established. They still follow the old Taiwan plant system. This year, the year-end bonus was only one month’s salary.

The bonuses for the three traditional holidays were merely symbolic, so don’t expect too much—probably around NT$1,000.

But after the interview, they told me to think carefully about whether I wanted to take the job. I am absolutely certain that this was said by the plant manager himself.

At the time, they did not ask me to make an immediate decision. They said that HR would call me on Monday to ask whether I was willing to join.

But on Monday, I waited until almost noon and still received no call. So I called HR and kept calling from nearly noon until around 5 p.m.

They kept telling me they needed to confirm the situation with me, but in the end they completely ignored me and never took any action to confirm anything whatsoever...!!!

It was not until before the end of the workday that they told me I had not been selected. Couldn’t they have said so earlier??

The plant manager of a company personally asked a candidate to think it over and said they would proactively contact me, yet they did not do any of that.

Isn’t that completely ridiculous?!... It was extremely disrespectful!!!

(After I finished the call, I checked the job posting and it had already been closed. What a terrible company... If they had found someone else, they could have simply told me. A lousy, untrustworthy company.)
