Pros

1. The colleagues are quite nice and will help when you ask them questions.

2. There are team performance bonuses and commission bonuses available. If you perform well, you can receive an additional NT$40,000–50,000 in bonuses each quarter (on top of your base salary).

3. The job usually requires a lot of running around to provide consultations, so you will lose weight.

4. If there is something you want, tell the boss; they will occasionally provide it.

5. There are employee trips and year-end parties; everything else follows the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

1. The performance pressure is high. If you fail to reach 50% of the target for three months, you will be laid off.

2. There are a lot of customized things to learn. The first month is spent teaching and training, and starting in the third month, you are expected to carry your performance targets.

3. There are often lots of inexplicable revisions or customer complaints, and customers like to argue and haggle over prices.

Pros

1. Close to an MRT station

2. Clock in and out for work; located in an office building with registered company offices

3. Benefits comply with the Labor Standards Act

4. They said overtime is not required

Cons

1. For someone with experience, the job duties do not sound particularly difficult, but the interviewer’s explanation was rather superficial

2. Employees from two departments served as the interviewers

3. They made the company sound wonderful XDD

4. The parent company is Ulink International Exhibition Co., Ltd.; the reviews do not seem to be very good either

Pros

1. Very cold air conditioning

2. Efficient meetings—two regular business meetings every week; the marketing team also holds meetings whenever necessary

3. There are beautiful stores outside

4. There are no snacks, so you won’t gain weight, because the boss is Christian (so there are no worship rituals)

5. Health management was implemented (during the pandemic)

6. The employees are all nice and easy to get along with

Cons

1. The boss keeps cutting the marketing budget, then expects you to accomplish $100 worth of work with $1

2. The job responsibilities are not explained during the interview; only after you start work are you told that you have to meet sales targets and travel for work

3. They say you only become eligible for involuntary termination after working for six months (after checking online, there is apparently no such rule)

4. They force you to accept shapewear worth tens of thousands of dollars. They call it a gift, but if you resign, you have to pay the money back

5. The food near the office is all very expensive

6. Every time there is an exhibition, everyone in the marketing team has to attend

7. They even dictate the means of transportation for business trips

8. You have to pay printing and business-trip expenses upfront, then submit the receipts to accounting for reimbursement and review at the end of the month

9. Overtime requires a supervisor’s approval, but the time-clock system only records voluntary overtime (and you don’t get paid for overtime either)

10. The boss makes you do things you are not good at. At first, they call it a challenge; if you cannot do it or do it poorly, they scold you and put you under observation

11. Once you are put under observation, you have to fill out a performance report every month

12. Even if you meet your performance goals, they still dismiss you using various excuses. They call it a personnel change, but bluntly, they just do not want you there anymore (for involuntary termination, you apparently have to have worked for six months before you can receive the relevant benefits—ridiculous, isn’t it?)

13. They are always saying they want to compete with rival companies, but they keep cutting the budget

14. You end up doing a lot of futile, unproductive work
