The new product seems quite promising.
I interviewed for an FAE position at this company some time ago, and it was the worst interview experience I’ve had in all my years in the workforce.
The interviewing manager was arrogant and gave the impression that they had no intention of recruiting seriously, but simply wanted to enjoy the feeling of being superior.
They nitpicked my résumé and criticized my writing as unclear even though they themselves did not understand the technical terminology.
While giving me a test to complete on the spot, they made self-important remarks to the HR representative sitting nearby. Later, when I asked about the year-end bonus, the manager responded extremely rudely, turning their face away and saying that there would be absolutely no bonus under them. At that moment, I decided I would not consider the position.
It is truly unfortunate for your company that such a promising new product is being supported by such a terrible manager leading the technical support department. The manager also said that Nintendo is one of your company’s clients, and I honestly find it baffling that someone like this could represent your company’s image in front of a major customer. This is already a problem with their character.
No wonder this position has been listed on 104 for such a long time; after this interview, I was not surprised at all.
I advise anyone who receives an interview invitation to be mentally prepared to be treated with contempt. At the time, I heard the HR representative ask the manager why they had invited the previous interviewee when that person was not someone they had wanted to hire in the first place.
It was simply a waste of the applicant’s time!
