On the day Jing Yang Technology contacted me for an interview, they gave me a consent form for the responsibility-based work system to fill out. In addition to this responsibility-based system, they also said that I would have to work every Saturday, and if the work was not finished, I would have to keep working overtime—it was all part of the responsibility-based system. I indicated that I did not agree, so the company did not contact me again afterward. This action by Jing Yang Technology did not match the “two days off per week” listed on the 104 Job Bank. It violated the company’s principle of integrity. I was misled into attending the interview and even had to spend NT$2,000 on round-trip transportation. The position I applied for was a mold fitter stationed in mainland China.
I hope this company will be a little more honest.
The colleagues are easy to get along with
1. It is a responsibility-based system, and the boss and the boss’s wife like to hold meetings after working hours.
2. In addition to your regular duties, you may also be asked to work on the production line as an operator, without overtime pay, packing orders until eight or nine o’clock.
3. The boss and the boss’s wife are very superstitious and avoid the color yellow. HR said on the very first day, “Whatever you do, don’t wear yellow.” The entire workplace must not have anything yellow in it.
4. There is no raise after the probationary period. The boss will come up with all kinds of excuses to evade the issue and simply refuses to give one.
5. All the products are made in mainland China, repackaged, and sold overseas.
Inside the office building, it was fairly neat and clean.
The interviewing manager was very kind and provided thorough answers to my questions.
A few days after interviewing with the department manager, I received an offer notification simultaneously through the job bank and by phone. However, due to the outbreak of the pandemic, my start date was postponed until the end of Level 3 restrictions. Since the restrictions kept being extended, they called me again and asked me to wait a little longer. Before the restrictions were finally lifted, they contacted me to confirm my start date and asked me to prepare documents such as a health examination report and a certificate of good conduct to submit on my first day. After more than a month, I proactively asked again when we would confirm my start date. They suddenly asked when I would be available to participate in a second interview with the company owner. Afraid that I had misunderstood, I asked repeatedly and clearly whether this meant I had not been formally hired. Only then did they hesitantly admit that the owner had forgotten that I had not yet completed the second interview and that they were still interviewing many people at that stage. Even after I attended the second interview, the position was not guaranteed; I would still have to wait for notification of whether I was hired. I was extremely shocked and felt completely disrespected at the time!
At first, they only asked whether I could accommodate the second-interview schedule. It was only after I repeatedly questioned them that they told me I had not been formally hired and would have to start the interview process over. Although I had not yet paid to obtain the documents required for onboarding, what would I have done if I had obtained them in advance and was only then told that I had not been formally hired? If I had not proactively asked, would they not even have informed me about the second interview and simply canceled or withdrawn the offer without telling me?
I find this behavior extremely shocking. This company clearly lacks integrity, so anyone considering joining should think carefully.

1. You need to complete an English test that is almost two full pages long. I’m not sure about the grading criteria, because I expressed many things in my own way, but it seemed like there were standard answers or something.

The interview process was relaxed (because we talked about things unrelated to the position).
Upon arrival, you first take an aptitude test and a translation test.
After that, there is an interview with the vice president.
However, the entire process barely touched on the job responsibilities.
It was mostly casual conversation,
which made it feel rather unprofessional.

A 30-minute paper-based Chinese-English translation task and two résumé questionnaires emphasizing a responsibility-based system; the interview failed to get to the point, instead making small talk about social cases, and they hope prospective employees have no plans to get married or have children.
