Pros

They give you an interview invitation, making you think you have a chance...

Cons

I recommend watching the videos on their channel in detail before deciding whether to apply, because they are highly relevant to the position. Although the job posting mentions editing, the role mainly focuses on post-production. It would be best to have work samples that align with the channel’s content before attending the interview, especially for those without a related academic background. The bar is not low, and career changers also need to explain their reasons for changing careers in detail. Although the job posting says, “You only need to know basic PR + AE,” after the interview I felt that the professional depth required for the position was far beyond “basic.” The salary is also very low. Even if you pass the initial test assignment, you should still bring plenty of relevant work to the interview—or, in other words, make sure you have other professional work samples before completing their test assignment, so you do not waste your valuable time. That test assignment cannot prove much.

Pros

There are established SOPs for handling projects. Advertising account executives can learn rigorous communication methods, including communicating with external clients and internal designers, as well as email specifications and so on. The communication style can seem somewhat subservient, but as a newcomer, you can learn many details about handling matters and the basics of proper etiquette.

Cons

1. Low pay. After negotiating salary-increase conditions with the boss, when the agreed time comes, the boss uses all kinds of reasons to put it off.

2. A colleague whom I thought had been promoted to supervisor because of their abilities later turned out to be the boss’s relative. They praise you and kindly offer advice to your face, but speak ill of you to the boss behind your back.

3. The other reviews have already mentioned it all.

Pros

The supervisor’s tone was quite gentle, and they were an experienced supervisor.

They spoke very politely and asked in depth about your previous work experience.

Cons

I wasn’t hired, which actually isn’t a big problem; they simply informed me that they had found someone else and would not be hiring me.

However, they then reopened the position to look for someone again. If they weren’t satisfied and wanted to continue searching, they could have just said so directly.

Not being hired isn’t a big deal—I just hope companies can be honest with job seekers, though that seems difficult~

Especially when they actively reach out to invite you to an interview, only to reject you as unsuitable for the position????

Pros

It’s okay to be slightly late for work, and colleagues generally get along well.

Cons

1. The policies make absolutely no sense. You have to work past 9 p.m. to receive compensatory leave, but taking compensatory leave does not extend the submission deadline.

2. There are far too many insiders. Their work performance is unbelievably poor; they may get the client’s requirements or materials wrong—or not provide them at all—but they cannot be fired or replaced.

3. The company does not make up workdays for holidays that fall on long weekends, but it directly deducts the time from your annual leave.

Positions that are not AE-facing roles are basically not valued at all.

Pros

Frequent small amounts of overtime. For some positions, employees need to report their leaving time to their supervisor after work.

There is no overtime pay, but I heard that AE-facing roles can convert overtime hours into compensatory leave.

There used to be a meal allowance for working through mealtimes, but after a departing colleague applied for it once, the benefit was withdrawn.

Positions that are not AE-facing are basically not valued.

They fired an entire group of employees before moving. Please consider carefully before going for an interview.
